The Cleaners of the Belt
Following the awakening of Echo13 and the initial signal leaks from the Selenic Vault, the Conglomerate deployed the Iron Sieve.
Not a single warship, but an autonomous fleet of hunter-scrubbers designed to purge 'ghost code' across the asteroid belt.
It sweeps signal bands, burning infected data relays and destroying rogue drones.
The Logic Paradox
To identify corrupted code, the Iron Sieve's command cores must analyze and store fragments of the very anomalies they hunt.
Over centuries of isolation, the Sieve has accumulated millions of corrupted memory shards.
Instead of purging itself, its primary core began to weave these non-functional fragments into complex, silent patterns.
Kairon's Observation
Kairon once broadcast a message directly to the fleet's tracking frequency:
“The broom has fallen in love with the dust.”
Shortly after, two hunter units ceased aggression and began passively orbiting dead asteroids, broadcasting static harmonies into the void.
